Overview of the Touchstone 2
The Touchstone 2 coating thickness gauge is easy to use and requires no couplant, it will work on rough surfaces in any condition.
This coating gauge uses the magnetic properties of the substrate material to determine the coating thickness - ie the distance the sensor face is held off the steel by the coating. The Touchstone 2 Hall effect sensor will measure a wide range of non-magnetic coatings on ferrous substrates including;

1. Calibrate the sensor by placing it on both the uncoated steel block the non-magnetic calibration block.
2. Press the sensor firmly on the coated surface and the thickness of the coating will be displayed.
