A smaller, less powerful version of Class Instrumentation Ltd’s CARGO-SAFE™ unit, this boat survey product is perfect for detecting the source of leaks in small pleasure craft, yachts, cars and caravans. To use the Cabin-Safe, the Transmitter unit is placed inside the vessel and the Receiver microphone is used to inspect seals, doors and windows on the outside for places of potential water ingress. Ultrasound will be detected on the exterior of the craft if a hole is present in the structure. Any holes can lead to water ingress.

1. Switch on the Transmitter unit and place inside the vessel.
2. Outside, close all doors, hatches and windows. Plug the microphone and headphones into the Receiver.
3. Inspect the vessel, holding the microphone against the external wall. Any gaps through which air or water can pass will allow the ultrasonic signal to pass and will be detected by the microphone.
4. The flexible microphone allows the position of any potential leaks to be identified with pin-point accuracy. The size of the problem is established by the strength of the signal detected.
